Petition to Support Clean Fuels in Hawaii

Dear Legislators:

The high cost of living and air and water pollution from imported fossil fuels threaten our paradise. Fortunately, a bill has been introduced in the legislature to address both problems.

The clean fuel standard (HB 1304/SB 1120) will allow drivers to reduce the pollute in their commute by making greener gas and diesel from waste sources like straw on farms and used cooking oils from Hawaii’s 4,000 restaurants more available. 

By incentivizing cleaner fuels from local, recycled sources, we can create good-paying jobs for our keiki while bringing competition to the high prices we pay for gas. 

The clean fuel standard has already benefitted the environment in California, Oregon, and Washington by keeping over 30 billion gallons of fossil fuels in the ground. 

Please vote for HB 1304/SB1120 and help protect our paradise.
