PONO Pacific and PAR Hawaii Partnering To Develop Camelina On Local Farms
This crop is intended to produce plant-based oil, which will be converted into renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.
Researchers estimate that camelina-based jet fuel can reduce net carbon emissions by approximately 80 percent.
Legislation to improve Hawai’i’s air quality by reducing the amount of gas and diesel pollution died last week in the State House Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee.
